Aaron Lennon is a right winger who plays for English side Tottenham and England. Lennon joined the youth squad at Leeds United at age 14. At that time Adidas also gave him a sponsorship of his boots, which he is the youngest player ever to have. He made his first team debut against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in August 2003, becoming the youngest player to appear in the Premier League at the age of 16 years and 129 days. Because of Leeds’ later financial problems, after being relegated to the Championship, Lennon was sold to Tottenham in June 2005.
The flying winger soon made an impact also for Spurs. He was nominated for PFA’s Young Player of the Year for three consecutive years. Lennon won the 2007-08 League Cup with Tottenham. He was Tottenham’s Player of the Year after the 2008-09 season.
Lennon made his first appearance at senior level for England just prior to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He went on to play both in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.

Heurelho da Silva Gomes is a goalkeeper who plays for English side Tottenham and the Brazilian national team. He signed for Tottenham ahead of the 2008-09 season. The season started in a bad way for him. He made som crucial mistakes in several matches. Not only thanks to him, but poor defending in general, the team soon found themselves struggling at the bottom of the Premiership. This resulted in manager Juande Ramos being sacked in October, while goalkeeping coach Hans Leitert was sacked in November. In came Harry Redknapp as new manager and Tony Parks as new goalkeeping coach. (Parks had been the goalkeeping hero when Spurs beat Anderlecht on penalties in the 1984 UEFA Cup final.) Parks and Redknapp worked with Gomes to make things work. Soon Gomes started putting on one brilliant display after the other. In the 2009-10 season he was one of the best goalkeepers in Premier League, when Tottenham secured a 4th place finishing and qualifyed for Champions League.
The reason Redknapp decided to stick it out with Gomes was simply because of the reputation he had from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. When Gomes left PSV for Spurs he had been instrumental for them in winning four consecutive Eredivisie titles. He has the record for highest percentage of cleen sheets in the Eredivisie, a stunning 60%. Before Gomes came to PSV he had won the double in his home country Brazil, in 2003 with Cruzeiro. He also made his debut for the national team in 2003. His appearences for Brazil has been somewhat sporadic, as he mostly has been second or third in line as choice of goalkeeper. He was however part of the Brazilian squad in the 2010 FIFA World Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a winger who plays for Spanish side Real Madrid and Portugal. Ronaldo played his way up at Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon from the age of 12, making his first time debut already at 16. When Sporting played Manchester United in a friendly match, opening their new stadium in August 2003, Ronaldo impressed by leading Sporting to a 3-1 win. A few days later he joined Manchester United for £12.24 million and was given the famous no.7 shirt by Alex Ferguson.
At Manchester United Ronaldo grew into one of the best football players on the international stage. His celebritiy status probably also equals that of David Beckham, a former no.7 at United. Real Madrid soon started chasing his signature and he eventually, in June 2009, went on a £80 million transfer deal. This makes Ronaldo the most expensive signing in football history. He is also the highest paid footballer, earning £11 million per year in a six year contract.
Ronaldo has played for the Portuguese national team since 2003 and has been their captain since 2008.
