Alexandre Pato
February 18th, 2010 by FrankO
Alexandre Pato is a striker who plays for Italian side AC Milan and the Brazilian national team. Pato came up through the ranks of Brazilian club Internacional but moved to AC Milan in 2007, shortly before his 18th birthday. Pato quickly settled in his new environment and the following season he was Milan’s top scorer.
Pato scored in his debut for the senior Brazilian team, against Sweden in March 2008. He was not picked for the 2010 World Cup but new head coach Menezes has given him greater priority. Pato has responded by scoring a goal in each of Menezes’ first three matches in charge. Pato appears to be one of the stars Brazil will rely on as they prepare for their 2014 World Cup on home soil.
