David Silva

David Silva is a winger who plays for English side Manchester City and the Spanish national team. Silva joined the youth ranks at Valencia as a 14 year old. After being out on loan to two different Segunda Division clubs he secured his place in Valencia team when he was 20. After four seasons in the first team he transferred to Manchester City in June 2010. Silva played at various youth levels for Spain and made his debut for the senior team in November 2006. He played his part for Spain’s winning team at the 2008 UEFA European Championship, scoring in the semifinal against Russia. Silva was in the squad winning the 2010 FIFA World Championship but with limited playing-time. He’s back in force again for Spain’s Euro 2012 campaign, scoring in their first two qualifying matches.

Aleksandar Kolarov

Aleksandar Kolarov

Aleksandar Kolarov is a Serbian left-back who plays for Manchester City. He arrived before the 2010/11 season from Italian side Lazio for €20.5 million. The 24 year old had his debut in the first Premier League match of the season, in a 0-0 draw at Tottenham. Kolarov picked up an ankle ligament injury and has been out since then but is due to return in October. The Manchester City fans will look forward to his return as Kolarov also is happy to play in midfield and charge on the left wing. Roberto Mancini would be looking towards Kolarov to provide similar cover on the left flank as Gareth Bale successfully does at Tottenham.

Samir Nasri

Nasri fast developed into one of Arsenal’s most important midfielders. He came through at Olympique de Marseille and was Ligue 1′s Young Player of the Year in the 2006-07 season. He was already at this stage compared to the great Zinedine Zidane. Ahead of the 2008-09 season Arsene Wenger signed him for Arsenal. He had a great come back since he suffered a broken leg in 2009 and being dropped from the French national team for the 2010 World Cup. He was recalled into the French squad for their Euro 2012 campaign and was prolific for Arsenal. However in August 2011 Nasri signed a four year contract with Manchester City for a fee of £25 million. He made his debut in a 5-1 win against Tottenham, assisting in three of the goals.

Carlos Tévez

Carlos Tévez is a striker who plays for English side Manchester City and the Argentinian national team.
Tévez joined they youth squad at Boca Juniors as a 13 year old. He made his senior debut at 17 and played 3 seasons for the club, winning both the Argentinian league and the Copa Libertadores in 2003. In January 2005 he joined Brazilian side Corinthians and won a Brazilian league title with them, before heading to England. In August 2006, after the World Cup, Tévez and fellow Argentine Javier Mascherano refused to stay on with Corinthians and both signed for West Ham United. After one season with The Hammers, with Tévez named the club’s Player of the Year, he moved on to Manchester United. At Man Utd he played two seasons, winning two Premier League titles, one League Cup and the 2008 UEFA Champions League. Tévez still felt unsettled and at the end of the 2008-09 season he publicly stated that he did not wish to continue playing for the club. In July 2009 he signed a 5 year contract with rivals Manchester City.
At Man City Tévez has been one of their most significant players and the club’s top scorer. Ahead of the 2010-11 season he was also made captain. Again after another World Cup, in South Africa during the summer of 2010, Tévez returned to club football dissatisfied and wanting away. He is expected to leave Manchester City in the January 2011 transfer window, despite his contract running until 2014.
