Aaron Lennon is a right winger who plays for English side Tottenham and England. Lennon joined the youth squad at Leeds United at age 14. At that time Adidas also gave him a sponsorship of his boots, which he is the youngest player ever to have. He made his first team debut against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in August 2003, becoming the youngest player to appear in the Premier League at the age of 16 years and 129 days. Because of Leeds’ later financial problems, after being relegated to the Championship, Lennon was sold to Tottenham in June 2005.
The flying winger soon made an impact also for Spurs. He was nominated for PFA’s Young Player of the Year for three consecutive years. Lennon won the 2007-08 League Cup with Tottenham. He was Tottenham’s Player of the Year after the 2008-09 season.
Lennon made his first appearance at senior level for England just prior to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He went on to play both in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
