Ben Foster
February 22nd, 2010 by EricA
Ben Foster is a goalkeeper who plays for English side Birmingham and the English national team. Early in his career Foster was officially a Stoke player but was out on loan to various clubs, including Wrexham. While playing for Wrexham he was spotted by Alex Ferguson, who signed him for Manchester United. From United he was straight away sent on loan to Watford, where he played for two seasons. In the first season he helped Watford gain promotion to the Premier League and in the second he was Player of the Year at the club. Foster was brought back to United ahead of the 2007-08 season but suffered some injury set backs, which only gave him sporadic appearances for the first team. In May 2010 Foster signed a three year contract with Birmingham. He is currently second or third choice for the English national team with Rob Green of West Ham. Manchester City’s Ben Hart is the current first choice.
