Tomáš Rosický is an attacking midfielder who plays for English side Arsenal and the Czech national team. Rosický is currently also the captain of the Czech team. He came up through the ranks at Sparta Praha before moving to Borussia Dortmund in Germany. With Dortmund he won the Bundesliga in 2002 (his first season there) and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup. That same year he was also chosen as Czech Player of the Year, an honour he also received in 2006 (after his last season at Dortmund).
Rosický signed with Arsenal in May 2006 where he straight away made an impact with his creative play. In 2008 he suffered a bad hamstring injury which kept him out of action for eighteen months. The injury also made him miss out on Euro2008 for the Czech national team. He is now leading them in their qualification for Euro2012.
