Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder is an attacking midfielder who plays for Inter Milan and the Dutch national team. Sneijder came up through the famous Ajax youth academy and made his senior debut as an 18 year old. The following season he won the Eredivisie with Ajax and was Young Player of the Year in Holland. In August 2007 Sneijder was sold to Real Madrid for €27 million. He played two seasons in Spain where he in the first won the double with Real Madrid.
In August 2009 Sneijder transferred from Real Madrid to Internazionale Milano in the Italian Serie A. He had an outstanding season, with Inter winning the treble which included the UEFA Champions League. He was also being picked as UEFA’s Club Midfielder of the Year. This was followed by being runners-up in the FIFA World Cup with Netherlands, where Sneijder also won the Silver Ball and was picked in the World Cup All-Star Team.
